SPEARMINT

Plant Origin: Utah
Traditional Uses: Spearmint oil has been used to help
support the respiratory and nervous systems.
Indications: Asthma, pulmonary
infections, bronchitis, diabetes, severe infections,
rheumatoid arthritis, and sinusitis.
Other Uses: This oil may balance and increase
metabolism. It may aid the glandular, nervous, and respiratory
systems. It may also help with acne, stimulate poor appetite,
help bad breath and balance, promote easier labor in
childbirth, and help with depression, digestion, dry skin,
eczema, headaches, intestines (soothes), menstruation (slow,
heavy periods), nausea, sore gums, vaginitis, and excess
weight.
Application: Diffuse or apply topically. Add to food
or water as a dietary supplement or flavoring.
Fragrant Influence: Spearmint’s hormone-like activity
may help open and release emotional blocks and bring about a
feeling of balance and a lasting sense of well-being.
Companion Oils: Basil, lavender, peppermint, and rosemary.
